Oops

 No, I have not forgotten about my blog.  I know I haven't updated anyone with my recent adventures. Well get ready here they are. In no apparent order. 


We have recently moved from Logan, leaving behind our very good friends Becca and Awesome Chad. We are bummed, but back to what I was going to say, we live in the valley again! Good ol' West Jordan. Details for the stalkers. We are living with my in-laws, its nice to be close to family. My parents are only 5 minutes down the street.  We are loving it! I am now able to actually eat normal meals and not just raviolis  or Romen for dinners. Which is totally sweeet! 


Tom has start training at his new job. Hes liking it. Its different than Mc Donalds. 


On to me. Nothing new, just being mommy to my smart and amazing little boy. :) Oh I made  Peach pies from scratch! I dont like Pie and didnt eat them, but they were totally fun to make!!! Here are some pictures of them!!

Now on to the little man, Ty. Well he is quite the big deal around this house! He has 5 teeth now, and a couple are trying their way to break out. I bet that will happens over the next few weeks. Joy for us, teething has not been easy on the three of us.   Ty as well has a new friend! We have been hanging out with our friends Michelle, Nick and their daughter Grace. Grace is 9 months old, so she is a month older than Ty. They are so funny together. Some points they play and then the next minute ignore each other. haha

Other than hanging out with the Pretty little Lady, Ty has surprised us with saying DaDa. A Word or phrase other than Babababa. It was so cute!!!!!   Hes getting so big! Carrying him around, I feel like my arms are going to just break off. He is so heavy! We have recently discovered that he likes to watch this child cartoon called the Backyardagains. (Something to that Title). They sing and dance, keeps him pretty entertained. His feeding habits are the same, Um Puffs with break feast and lunch, oh and dinner. Ha.  He now loves the yogurt melts and bread.  Grace and him love to eat Puffs and Yogurt Melts and Bread.  Ty has also discovered that he has a voice. And he loves to scream and yell and laugh! Its hilarious,when he crawls around screaming at the top of his lungs with a toy in his hand. 

We are all doing well and we are all happy! Here are just a few pictures- mainly of the kid. Because I mean come on, thats why you were really skimming through what i wrote hoping that at the end there would be the pictures of Ty. See? Caught ya!

Tys New Talent

I have finally taught Ty a new talent, hes finally understood and caught on. he now Claps. haha Its something I have been doing with him for weeks, along with Hello and Bye Bye. Thats really not going anywhere fast. But we are still working on it.  Heres a little video of him Clapping. :)

Short Post

Well just an update about whats going on in our boring lives. Okay maybe not so boring though. We are leaving Logan and moving back to West Jordan here shortly. Tom has gotten a new a job with better pay and better hours! He will be working days now not nights! Hallelujah! We have decided this just based on what we need and whats better for our small family. We are excited!

On another positive note, Ty has gotten very strong. He loves to jump on his Jumperoo.  And he does get some air in it.  He has also been very tired and crabby. I believe we are just finishing  up his teeth cutting for now.

7 Months flown by.

Wow. Okay. So Aug. 19,2011 my Little man was officially 7 months old. it almost feels like the blink of an eye. Its amazing. Ty is such a blessing. Hes amazing, he is full of laughs and smiles. He always makes me happy more than stressed out and irritated.  Ha. He has learned to pull himself up into standing, holding on to things. His top two teeth are barley breaking the gum line. Hes to smart for his own good, He knows the difference between bread and popcorn. He knows its not the same looking and that your pulling pieces off the bread instead of pulling popcorn out of a bowl.  Ty also loves to eat the Gerber puffs. Guess its better than Candy, who am I kidding? Anyone who knows my hubby knows my kid will be an addict to Candy. hahaha I am going to try my hardest not to let that happen. Cavity s suck and so does gaining weight. Besides we have all seen kids on a sugar high! Equaling uncontrollable children, that make you want to find the nearest beach with out them! Ah, joys of life!

So enough about my  handsome boy and on to some bigger news. Nah not really. 

I have always wanted long hair. Wanted to be able to curl it and wear it in a long pony tail. Well it was never happening. So among a few other things going on in our life, I decided that I needed some change.  Divorce was a little far fetched and seemed difficult to do. Besides I do love Tom anyways. Haha  I deicided that I was going to cut my hair short, I mean SHORT!

 Big Difference, I would tell you UH HUH! It is short, I have never had this short! Its so short  in the back I can flat iron a layer or two. And the lady that cut it buzzed my neck, I have never had that done before. It was uncomfortable.  But I do like it, and I style it differently then in this picture. And if you didn't notice, we buzzed Toms head as well. :) I buzzed his hair, and will keep on doing it when he wants a hair cut. 


Thats pretty much all thats new. Maybe some bigger news will come along down the road! :) ( and no its not a "I am pregnant!", type of thing)

If you only knew.

Well I have not posted in a while. Sorry.  Few new thing on my adventures. Ty is crawling and pulling himself up on objects, including the stairs. He just recently developed his first cold, which is nasty because he has the nasty runny green buggers. They mange to get on everything. 


Can you guess what these are? And Where We found them?

Well if you havent guessed it, they are catfish. Im not sure what detailed type, just that they are catfish. My family and I spent the other night at Utah Lake trying to get my parents Jet skis to work, so we could all ride them and what not. Well they did not work so they kids found something else to do. By the doc where the water was shallow and there were tall water grass was, there was all these black things swimming around.  Josh the adventurous fisherman, had to try and catch them. He succeeded and in the large McDonalds cup where these baby catfish. I am surprised they survived the ride home and are still alive today.  They are fun to watch swim around.  Guess we could really say we were swimming with the fishies.

My parents have recently added a new addition to the family. Bella. She is a cocker spaniel with a mix of Australian Shepard.  She is 7 weeks old and loves to chew on things. She has now chewed a total of 3 things. All which are mine and they are all the same things. Its nice to wake up in the morning to put on a nice clean pair of undies only to realize that the crotch doesn't connect or there is a big hole in the middle. Yes, I m tattle tailing. She chew up three pairs of my Victoria secret underwear. And if anyone who shops there realizes just how expensive it can be to buy from there. So, yes I was mad. I payed alot for them. Guess it just gives me a reason to buy news ones though. Among other things she loves to nibble on Tys feet, which I do not approve of. So we are constant feet watch when shes around. Overall shes a beautiful puppy, loves to play and sleep in the most inconvenient spots possible.

Not much else is new. Tom just finished up summer semester, now has a few weeks off to hang out alittle more with me and Ty.

Bear Lake, Ut

Our recent adventure was so much fun! We traveled to Bear Lake for the second time this month. With my family.  This time we were able to take some fun water toys with us! My parents just bought jet skis and the 20 th was my old man rivers birthday! So he wanted to come up to Bear Lake and relax! We had so much fun, like I said. haha. The lake was beautiful, and the water was so high that the water covered the beaches. So you could wade like 200 ft out there and  the waters only up to your chest! Which was so awesome, the kids had so much room to wander and play.  I took my camera but forgot I had it. So I just took one pic of us there, okay more like only of Joe there. While waiting to drive the jet ski he tanned. 

Oh did he tan! Hes got that great skin, unlike me who just fries to a crisp!  Well, after our day one adventured, we traveled further into Idaho. We headed to Montpelier, ID. Thats where we would be staying for the night. In a hotel and not a KOA, which I was so happy with. I dont think I would have survived  being a tent with Ty. Or being in a Tent altogether. I m not much of a camper. Back to my story. We stayed the night, got lots of rest. Got up and went to a restaurant called Ranch Hand.  Its this restaurant at this truck stop and they make such great food! The menu is pricey, but you wouldn't have guessed the food we were served. 

This a called a short stack. THE PANCAKES WERE BIGGER THAN HIS HEAD! I only got one and couldnt eat half! The food portions were HUGE! Everything was, but the Pancakes were the largest! We were so surprised.  And while shifting through the menu, we came across the "Big stack" ( I believe thats what it is called.) It was their challenge! You get three pancakes, the size above, and you have one hour to finish them. If you scudded you get your picture on the wall and a t shirt and your meal was free! We just thought it was going to be an I Hop pancake, not a monster sized pancake. Nathan really wanted the big stack to being with, good thing we talked him outta of it!  After a humongous breakfast, we headed back to North Shore Beach at Bear Lake.  Played on the jet skis, I have bruises thanks to them! I cant get on that thing to save my life. and the Time I did manage to get on and almost sit down Tom gunned the gas and I flew off the back! Ah we all had a fun time! :D  I love doing things with the family. So much to laugh at. 

Tys new, going to be, attachment.

Sometime around 6 mos children become attached to certain things. More or a less a blanket or toy.  Well I wanted a blanket that was boyish but not baby boyish. Something that he could have for a few years. So I made one. I have found minky fabric. Which is a softer more durable fleece. That doesnt shrink or lose its soft comfortableness. Then I chose a Camo cotton print to go on top, to match our awesome Camo diaper bag!  Here is the results! 

Then I had extra fabric over, So I made a Taggie. Not only do kids get attached to things, they love tags. So the idea of  a taggie is to put ribbon on it. That way it looks like a tag, on a blanket that they can chew and carry with them. It also beats them carrying around a giant blanket everywhere you dont want that blanket to go. So the taggie is the same materials as the big blanket. For security purposes! : D 

 It was my first time sewing with Minky, I am not the best sewing person, but it turned out okay. 

He seems to love it! Go me!

 On the other Hand, Ty now officially crawls! On his hands and knees. Most of the time, other wise he still army crawls. Hes pro at that.  He is also able to sit up by himself  ( from tummy to his bum )  all by himself. He is also learning to pull himself up on things. anything that's higher than him, including the walls.  Ty can also feed himself. Hes learned the pincer grasps with this thumb and pointer finger! He loves the ( Gerber ) puffs and bread. We can't wait to give him more things to eat when hes bigger and learns how to really chew his food.
