♫ ♪ ♫ Old Man River ♫ ♪ ♫

For a while now I have nicknamed my dad, Old Man River. I heard it in part of a song as a child. At least I think its part of a song, it has a tune. ha.  So when Tom and I would go down to SLC and stayed at my parents house. My mom would always say call your dad down here ( to the downstairs ) and we will play a game. So it began the Old Man River tune to call him, and it stuck. Its a special nickname that I use quite often now.  The best part is, its usually only I who call him that, till now. I was on the phone with my mom the other day and as we were chatting she told me hold on. I am used to the "Hold On", as she has 4 other smaller children to attended too. Next thing I knew shes telling me that Malorie,8, gave her a note. The note read. " Mom, I am super bored. Can I please play on Old Man Rivers Laptop? I m really really bored.". HAHA  ( I can only assume my mom was on the desktop while talking with me. ) I can't believe that Malorie used the Old Man River, that she had caught on too me calling dad that. Oh my. I laughed and laughed. 
Now I do not call my dad Old Man River because hes getting old.  Early 40 s are not old. :D  So I am curious who else is using my clever term, I will have to find out. Love you Old Man River ♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪

Bald Spots

So like all babies Tytan has the bald spot. Which just looks totally outta place. Can't Ya tell ?

Isn't it just grand? It was worth taking the picture. haha Something to later tease him and show him about.  
 

Growing Pains and Laughter

Tytan has learned to laugh and I finally caught it on camera ! !  He is completely camera shy. So I have to entertain him so he doesn't realize its on, but in the video you'll notice for a minute he sees it. See if you can catch his laugh! ! ! ! !

On the other hand, of laughter, Ty is getting so big. You can tell hes growing each day. He will be officially 3 months old on the 19th but hes already growing outta three month old clothes...  As seen here the pants are a little high waters....

I took this picture and just about cried. Hes growing to fast, and there are sometimes when I am all by myself at home with him and I just don't think that I can handle anymore whinny and spit up. I realize that its all worthy it and to take advantage with the time I have with him each day. I don't want to miss anything. I don't want to miss all his laughs and smiles and the times where hes my snuggle buddy. Soon he will be 5 and will be his own person. He will not want to cuddle or go to bed. He will not want to eat this or that.  But that is in the future and outta of my hands. I will mold him in ways that I hope he will carry on with him in life.  :D I love him so so so much. He truly just  needs to stop growing and slow time down.

His Game Face

I have grown up being a Ute fan, and Loved watching the football games whether  it was in the stadium eating hot dogs with my dad or sitting on the couch with a hot, yummy, bowl of Chili.  Tom really doesn't care about football teams, So I will claim under the Ute's. :] He actually claims the Aggies, which is totally fine. He calls it the meditation because his family are BYU fans. 
So I am excited to be able to share moments with Tytan like I did with my dad. Now that I have cable, I am able to watch the games and cheer like the crazy fan in the stands! So we are getting ready!!! Whoot Whoot!! 

Tummy Time

So new updates, while putting back the house together, we make sure to take time to play with Tytan. Recently hes been super amazing at rolling over all by himself and doing it super quick and multiple times. Its so fun! And the other night when I was talking to him and tickling him,he began to laugh! ! ! ! Laugh! ! ! I was like freaking out, and Tom missed it because he was else where. Then last night Tytan was laughing every second that he could, and Tom was there to witness it. Only thing was, Tom couldn't get him to laugh. Only I can ;D. Hes growing so fast. Heres a video that Tom took of Ty rolling over haha 

Along more fun things, we finally got part of his room together and we have introduced sleeping in his own bed. The Crib. We generally put him in it for naps. 

Other than that at night he ends up in bed with me and Tom.......

Yup.... He takes up a lot of room. 

Other than those few updates, we are almost done unpacking. I wont be posting pictures till I get all the boxes out and things put in their place. Along with things on the walls. So once that happens I will show you all our new home.  Tom will be registering for school soon, I think hes somewhat excited. Its going to be wierd that once he does he will be basically gone all day. Since he works nights he has been able to be home in the day with me and the pipsqueak. Which is wonderful, because Tom gets his time with Tytan.

Paint Hands Turned Deadly

Well my latest project was to frame Tytans hand prints for his room. We all know that babys hand prints are just adorable and meant for keepsakes, right? Well I failed miserably. We stuck his hands in green paint, but we could not make him open his hands what so ever.  That ended in the results of :

So yes, it was awesome! Tytan decided to wear the paint along with me.  ( none got into his eyes or mouth. We made sure.)  I just need to stick to painting objects that don't fight back.

Excuse me when I meant we, I meant Tom. Glass wear needed to be packed and we ran outta newspaper to wrap them in, so Tom got creative! Can anyone guess what he used??

If you guessed diapers, you are CORRECT! We had some left over newborn diapers and what better way to make sure your full covered on all sides. So Just in case they did break, there is a leak guard! haha
