Finger Eats

Thomas and I have recently noticed that once Tytan lets his binky fall outs, that he can use his fingers as a replacement.  Each time that I see this I pull his little fingers out and put the binky back in. I would rather have a binky sucker than a thumb sucker. I can always make the binky disappear but I can't chop of his hands. Tytan has also gotten good at staying under his blankets a little too well.  He seems to cover his face all the time, so we are constantly pulling out his arms and pulling the blanket down.  Only that solves the problem for a minute or two than the blanket mysteriously ends up near his face. We have also found that he loves to sleep with his binky close by. It always ends up under the one ear,not the other one, just the one. I always wonder if this would be uncomfortable for him,  but he does not seem to mind it.

What a Weekend.

Over the weekend of March 11-14, we were lucky to spend sometime in West Jordan with family.  It was good to see family and friends, lucky us! When we first arrived we set up camp at my Moms house and said hi to everyone. Then when all the kids, except for Tytan, were asleep, Thomas and I went to play the Xbox Kinect. My family had gotten it as a family gift for Christmas last year, and I was unable to play because I was  8 mo. pregnant. So I gave it a try, OH MAN, I was so sore the next day.  It was a blast though playing the adventures and sports games. And to make me hurt even more, the next day we went out to lunch with our good friends Mitch and Sara. And brought them back over to play against each other in the Sports.  We boxed, bowled, ping pong, volleyball and so on. Let me say my arms were so sore picking up a glass of water was a challenge.

While I was also having fun playing video games, I was told that I need a hair dying job. I guess my roots were really noticeable? Sure. So my Mother and I decided that we would dye each others hair. Ya know, Save some money.  I was the first to go, and she made a mess. My mom dropped hair dye on her hardwood floors multiple times. Now get this, I was dying my hair a burgundy brown-red color. So the dye looked purple. So while trying to make sure she miss any hairs she had stepped on some hair dye that had fallen to the floor. The result (above) a purple streak on the bottom of her foot.  Ha, she was not the only one to wear hair dye where it did not belong. I too was wearing it, some of the hair dye ended up on my back soaking through the shirt I was wearing onto my back. So I have a lovely purple smudge on my back.  Although this task was meant to be simple, we were happy in the end.

Talking about my moms feet made me realize, that yes I do own a pair of zebra print heels. My mom got these for my birthday! I love them! Don't You?

Tytan loves going to West Jordan, it means he gets to hang out with family. Although he was not such a happy camper this weekend. He has a cough and cold that has him being more fussy than usual. Hopefully it will clear up soon.  Tytan also showed his grandpa and grandma just how much he can do when he had a blow out on the couch. Tom went to change him and noticed yellow all over the blue pants.  It was not a pretty site, but I am sure the little guy felt much better. Grandpa on the other hand looked like he was going to be sick. :D

Tytan has also been surprising us with blow outs! Yay? I think not! He seems to do his business   between 10 pm and 11 pm and it all happens so fast before you can get his clothes off theres already poop everywhere.(shown above) This has been happening for a week. So I am sure you can imagine how many poopy clothes I have sitting on my bathroom racks. That have been washed the best that they could be, since I don't have a washer.   Sorry the picture is poor quality, it was taken on the cell phone.

This year and part of the last half of 2010 has been rough and exciting at the same time. Why, you may ask? Well for starters Tom got into an accident that made our Focus nonoperational. And being the broke college family we are, could not afford to fix it. The car was a curse anyways, we would fix something and the next minute there was something else wrong with it. Lucky us. The exciting moments are that we were waiting for our baby boy to arrive. Tytan was due Jan 12 but decided to wait and I was induced on Jan 18 at 3pm. I endured 8 hours labor including my 1 hr 10 minutes of pushing. Go me! As for the car situation, we are lucky enough to have wonderful caring grandparents who gave us their car. What a blessing that was. Because we are newly married and have very limitted credit, banks would not give us a loan.
More awesome news! We have finally gotten news that we are moving into the townhouses across the street that we have been waiting months for. The moving date is April 2, its a two bedroom, 1 1/2 bath and a full size kitchen! Which will be the best part (the kitchen) because in the apartment we are currently living in, we can't fit a Papa Murphys pizza in our oven. And I am able to put in a washer and dryer! We currently don't have a washer and dryer, so this will be nice to be able to wash clothes on my time!
On the other hand, our little man Tytan is growing so fast! He is now into 3 month old clothes but is very close to growing out of those as we speak. Tytan is a happy little boy who loves to smile and snuggle. He has his 2 month old appt on March 21st which includes vaccinations. Poor kid.

Tom has taken the semester off and plans to return to school in the summer. He prefers the summer semester, to the winter and spring semester, due to the fact there are less people to run over with his bike. :D
